Every day there are people in our community who act as “Angels” and invest their love and support in the lives of children. These Angels may be parents, family members, teachers, church members, or someone who may never have known what they meant to a child. This is your chance to recognize the Angel in your life!
Your Angel is defined as anyone, living or deceased, who has made, or continues to make, a difference in your life. Celebrate them by raising funds to continue to support the “Angels” in the lives of the children of Beaufort County.
The goal of the Angel Walk is to raise funds necessary to ensure that services are available to prevent child abuse and neglect in our community. These funds will help to provide intervention programs for children who need emergency shelter, prevention education, parenting classes, and family support counseling.
Child abuse and neglect is a community problem. It touches the lives of all socio-economic groups. The prevention of child abuse is the responsibility of every person in every community.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Let us walk together to improve the lives of our children.
