CAPA board members are active members of a team that provides leadership to the organization.
Board members shall be elected each January to an initial three-year term of office and are requested to actively serve on two Standing Committees, which include Advocacy, Governance, Communications, Finance & Audit, Fund Development/Fundraising, and Operations/Management. At the end of the initial term, board members may be eligible for re-election to another three-year term. New board members are limited to three consecutive terms.
Board meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month (except July, and August) at the CAPA office in Port Royal. Regular attendance is mandatory. Board meetings are open to the public.
CAPA organizes and conducts several fundraising events annually. Board members actively participate in these events and contribute to the overall financial efforts of the organization.
