CAPA board members are active members of a team that provides leadership to the organization.
Board members are elected to a one year initial term and are requested to actively serve on two Standing Committees, which include Advocacy, Governance, Communications, Finance & Audit, Fund Development/Fund Raising and Operations/Management. At the end of the initial year’s service, board members are eligible for a two year term.
CAPA organizes and conducts several fundraising events annually including a golf tournament, Angel Walk, adult spelling bees and a holiday auction. Board members actively participate in these events and contribute to the overall financial efforts of the organization.
Board meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the CAPA Outreach Center in Port Royal. Regular attendance is mandatory.
